Rebuild Upstate helps seniors and people with disabilities make the repairs they need to remain safely in their homes. Staying put can also preserve an affordable housing option when moving would raise their monthly costs.
Why we CHOSE TO FUND THEM
When we asked what was holding back their work, Rebuild Upstate pointed to a cash flow problem: volunteers were ready, but the organization often had to wait for state and local reimbursements before starting the next project.
Together, we created a revolving fund that lets Rebuild Upstate pay for projects upfront. As reimbursements arrive, the money goes back into the fund and becomes available for the next home. That keeps volunteers working and helps Rebuild Upstate serve more local neighbors.
