Stable shelter can be the foundation from which everything else becomes more possible.
Without it, maintaining health, employment, education, relationships, and personal well-being becomes significantly more difficult. We partner with organizations working across the continuum of housing and shelter to help create safer, more stable pathways forward.
THE CHALLENGE
Housing instability is rarely the result of one isolated problem, and lasting solutions often require more than providing a temporary place to stay.
Organizations need appropriate facilities, sufficient capacity, strong support systems, and resources capable of meeting people wherever they are in the journey toward stability.
OUR APPROACH
We look for investments that improve both immediate access and the systems supporting longer-term stability.

Safe Harbor
We provided Safe Harbor with a flexible, no-barrier grant empowering case managers to meet each woman’s unique needs. We also supported its capital project and helped secure a national matching gift to expand its impact.

We funded new furniture, games, books, and other improvements to make the room more welcoming. Our hope was to give parents and children a comfortable place to connect during an important time for their family.

Recovery takes time, support, and a path to a stable income. We invested in an expansion house that increased the program’s capacity to serve men by 50%.
